B Is For....

Bad Days!

Yep, you read that right. I am thankful for bad days. (or at least I am learning to be) This has been a rough week for me. I wanted to find a clever, nice thing to be thankful for, but every time I prayed about it, the words I got were Bad Day. I think the Lord wanted me to be real on this one!

 Let me explain:

Imagine having an awful morning: Late alarm clock, burnt toast, spilled milk resulting in changing clothes only to realize that you forgot to switch laundry before you went to bed!
Now, imagine that from a perspective of a mom who does not get to stay home with her kiddos! I cannot even imagine!!!
***DISCLAIMER- if you are a working mom, you have my utmost respect! I am not sure how you accomplish all that you do in a single day! (especially you single mommas!)

My thankfulness this week comes from a very bad morning similar to the one above. The difference for me, I was able to switch the laundry, wait on it to dry, throw the burnt toast to the chickens, make a fresh piece, and the late alarm simply meant we started school about an hour later!  The Lord really used the day above to remind me to be thankful that I am home to reset those bad days. A few minutes cleaning up, a 5 minute mommy time-out to spend in prayer, and we were able to move on and have a very productive day filled with precious memories!

How about you, friend? Are you thankful for the bad days too?
What else are you thankful for this week?

Thanks again for joining me as I blog through the alphabet of thanksgiving! You can read my friends posts by clicking the link below:
