Not Just A Hearer But A Doer by Yolanda Shanks-A review

"We sit in the pews. We sing the songs. We recite scripture-scripture we know by heart. And yet buried in the midst of this routine are commands and requests straight from the Most High that go ignored. We've become so reliant on God fulfilling His end of the bargain that we fail to follow through with ours.
                                    We've become Hearers."

This description hit a little too close to home. We've all been there. We get so 'comfortable' in our religion that we forget about the relationship part.

In "Not Just a Hearer But a Doer" by Yolanda Shanks, she helps me become more aware of how much of a hearer I had truly become. That is not how I want to live my life! I want to be bold! I want to truly live for my God. Like Paul says on Hebrews 5:9 "Therefore we have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him."

This 31 day study has helped me to get a jump start on refocusing my life on God once again!

I believe that it can do the same for you. The daily lessons are broken down into easy to understand sections. I am a full time mom, like many of you, and there are days that trying to find time to study is hard. The lessons in this book are short enough for busy moms, but still pack tons of truth in them that you can meditate on throughout your day.

I encourage you, if you are looking to move from the position of a hearer to one of a doer, get you a copy today!

James 1:22 "But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."
